WAR…. Such a small word, but how much pain it contains, so many lost lives, unfulfilled dreams, mother’s tears, and children orphaned….
With each passing day, the number of victims of the military operations is becoming bigger and bigger. This primarily affects those who should be protected first by the state — on civilians. Many Conventions are taken to protect the rights of peaceful citizens. So why are people still dying? Why does the flame of hope fade in people’s eyes? The whole world seems silent as if deaf and blind in one second!
The war in Syria, took many lives of innocent people. Some of them were trying to save their lives, by leaving their homes and serving in other countries, to be able to live in peace and to educate the younger generation. Unfortunately, most of the refugees are faced with a wall of incomprehension on the part of citizens from other states. Those who remained in the country feel the lack of normal living conditions. People have nowhere to turn for protection of the legitimate rights and interests.
That is why on March 12 in the International Organization of the Protection of the rights and freedoms of citizens «Shield» turned a Palestinian woman, living in Syria, Gazher Abdullah Saleh and asked for help. She told about the terrible grief that befell her family.
This year on February, 14 three Palestinian families (of 9 members) were trying to leave Syria illegally on the border with Turkey. The thing they could not do. A group of Turkish frontier troops mercilessly and brutally opened fire on Palestinian families. From 9 people survived only three: a man who lost his wife, a woman whose husband and son were killed and a small child who lost his whole family in one shot. The bodies were taken and sent them to the morgue in the Silopi district by Turkish soldiers. All alive were hospitalized to the nearest hospital because they were injured. In fear and in a state of shock to surviving woman was given the boy, and she did not realize at once that it was not her child. After clarifying the circumstances, a boy named Jafar Azusa (3.5 years) was sent to the Turkish orphanage in the town of Sirnak. Female (F), which was given not her child, got in touch with boy’s relatives in Syria. The only one person who is left was the boy’s grandmother (and she applied to the organization). According to the situation in the country, she does not have any the possibility to go and pick up her grandson.
The dead child’s mother was the only daughter Azhar Abdullah Saleh. The Turkish authorities do not want to give back the child to anyone except close relatives. A woman can’t find a way out of this situation and she is asking for help in returning the 3.5-year-old grandson from the Sirnak town in Turkey. She also ask to help her to get back the bodies of dead relatives. All attempts to reach out to their own governments were failed. Like a cry in the desert, where no one can see or hear.
For solving, this situation immediately was gathered Council Congress «Shield» and joined the representatives of Jordan, the Middle East and North Africa. The president and vice-president of the International Congress «The Shield» on March 14 met with the Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in Odessa Cemil Ufuk Togrul.
Unfortunately, the night before the visit, the attack took place in the Turkish Republic. This
terrible event took a large number of lives. The representatives of the Congress of «The Shield» expressed their deepest condolences to the people of the Turkish country. After the getting all the possible information about the child, the Consul General has promised to put under his personal control this case, and send the information to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He thanked to the President Zahir Saleh and Vice President Alexander Matyakin for active work on protection of the rights of citizens and for the information.
