From the very beginning of 2014, the city of El-Fallujah in Iraq was isolated from the outside world. The main reason was the military conflict in Iraq. As a result, almost every inhabitant of the city was caught a disease.
Today about 70 thousand families left the city. People were forced to run away and settle in the desert near the town of Al-Habbaniyah and village Amiriyah to stay alive. Now they stayed in inhumane conditions and they are deprived of life-saving means for existence: water, food, medicines and shelter. 70 thousand families in the awful heat in the open air. Women, children and the elderly suffer the most. It is difficult to imagine what can a person feel, who is isolated from normal everyday life. It is impossible to understand the pain of mothers who have nothing to feed their children. It is impossible to feel the suffering of fathers, who can not protect own family from attacks and to keep them alive.
The representative of the International Congress “Shield” in Iraq, Mr. Daher Moussa Ali asks the international community to pay attention to the unresolved problem with the residents of El- Fallujah city and calls on to fulfill the obligations – to protect the rights of these people. The pain and suffering must not go on!
