The National Day of the State of Kuwait was held in honor of establishing the independent State of Kuwait and the coronation of the Emir of Kuwait Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah on February 25, 1961. The holiday is celebrated every year widely and noisily. Meetings, celebrations, and fireworks displays are held. The crowded streets are filled with a bright sea of Kuwait flags and flags carried by residents. Kuwaitis, young and old, wear national clothes on this day to participate in the festivities. Most families choose to spend their vacation visiting relatives and friends. Kuwait is represented in Ukraine by Ambassador Youssef Hussein Al-Jaborandi. Ambassadors and consuls of other foreign countries, representatives of governments, and intellectuals were invited. Today, the State of Kuwait seeks to develop its relations and enhance constructive cooperation with all world countries on the principles of mutual respect, equality, non-interference in internal affairs, and a peaceful solution to disputed issues.
