Cases of racial and ethnic discrimination occur on a daily basis, thus hampering the normal development of millions of people around the world. Racism and intolerance destroy the lives of individuals and communities, denying individuals the right to the fundamental principles of equality and non-discrimination and contributing to the incitement of ethnic hatred. The fight against racism is a priority for the international community and is among the main activities of the International Organization “Shield”.
Through its work on non-discrimination issues, “Shield” International promotes the fight against racism and intolerance. Our organization contributes to the creation of opportunities for the elimination of racism at the national level by providing advice, research and analysis on the issue of racism, collaborating with intergovernmental and expert mechanisms protecting the rights of affected groups, and working with the wider community, forging partnerships, raising awareness and advocating for the adoption of anti-discrimination measures under the law.
The international organization “Shield” has made a significant contribution to resolving the problems of racism and discrimination both in Ukraine and abroad. The organization regularly holds international conferences, round tables, peaceful rallies, which are aimed at highlighting the main problems of racism and finding ways to resolve the conflicts that have arisen, at establishing relations between peoples and nations. Our organization is a member of the Public Council at the Odessa Regional Council, in the Advisory Council at the Prosecutor’s Office of the Odessa Region. We always stand for the protection of nations and nationalities in all state institutions.
We are sure that tolerance is the principle that should underlie the work and development of modern society. Only by respecting each other and not making distinctions based on ethnicity or religion, we can achieve peace on our planet. We strongly support all initiatives that are directed against manifestations of racism in the world, and we urge everyone to be guided by these principles!
