The International congress on protection of the rights and freedoms of citizens «Shield.»with the Migration Service of Ukraine in the Odessa region took part in the preparation and holding of the International Refugee Day.
The event was attended by the director of the Main Department of the State Migration Service of Ukraine in the Odessa region, representatives of UNHCR, the President of the Congress, «SHIELD» and head of the legal department of the Congress «SHIELD», representatives of the Public Movement Faith, Hope, Love», the president of the Afghan public fund «Friendship » and others.
At the opening ceremony by the President of the Congress of «SHIELD» Daher Muhamed Saleh and the head of the legal department of the Congress «SHIELD» Alexander G. Matyakin.
Using the International Refugee Day in his speech Daher Saleh raised the issue of the fate of Palestinian refugees, conflict 1948-1967 years are engaged in the United Nations and to the present day more than 6 million Palestinian refugees living in shelters remained without a solution to their problems, the attention of all those present that International congress «SHIELD» for two years fighting for a change of the UN Charter in the part of the Security Council of the UN. Against the backdrop of the changed geopolitical situation in the world, can not be the five permanent members of the UN Security Council to decide fate of the world. The UN was created for the peaceful coexistence of all nations. The UN Security Council consists of the country — the largest arms manufacturers, who are not interested in the cease-warrior and military conflicts on the «The International Congress on protection of the rights and freedoms of citizens «SHIELD» proposes to expand the number of permanent members of the UN African, Industrialna America and Asia.
Tatter Muhamed Saleh wished the refugees fastest adaptation in the Ukrainian community and find themselves in the society.
At the festival they could taste diffrenet nationalty food ,for the children attending organized sweets, fruit, sweet water, and gifts, entertainment program provided students of the Odessa Center for Children and Youth Creativity «Promin».
