In December 2013, at the Palace of Culture of the Odessa National Polytechnic University, a holiday for children, “New Year’s extravaganza,” was held.
The International Organization “Shield organized the event,” the International Charitable Foundation “Assalam,” and the Odesa regional organization of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine.
At the beginning of the holiday, the children were congratulated on the upcoming New Year from the stage by the President of the International Congress for the Protection of the Rights and Freedoms of Citizens “Shield” and the President of the Assalam International Charitable Foundation, Daher Saleh Muhamed. He reminded young viewers that all people are equal, regardless of skin color, nationality, and religious affiliation. He also expressed confidence that the “New Year’s extravaganza” will be remembered by children.
“When they grow up, they will remember this holiday! I want to wish them kindness and all the best in life! ”He expressed his wishes.
Children were also congratulated by representatives of national minorities, state bodies, Odessa lawyers, and journalists.
On the same day, Vladimir Boston, a Social Legal Assistance public organization representative, presented Saleh Mukhamed Dager with a cup for sincere charitable work. Promin, the children’s and youth creativity leader, received a diploma.
“Saleh Muhamed Daher is a real philanthropist. He knows firsthand that there are no other people’s children, ”said Mikhail Grigorenko, director of the Promin Center for Children and Youth Creativity.
About 800 pupils from Odessa orphanages, boarding schools, children from refugee families, low-income families, and mixed marriages came to the holiday.
The entertainment program included performances by dance, vocal, and theater groups from the Promin Center for Children and Youth Creativity. In particular, these were the choreographic ensembles “Adel,” “Karnevalita,” Serpentine, the vocal ensembles “Dolores” and “Barvinok,” as well as the theater studio. “Image.”
“Today, children from 5 to 20 years old are involved in the celebration from our center. I think that such events are significant. They are created so that the guys believe in goodness and learn that there are more good people in the world,” said Svetlana Maksimenko, deputy director of the Promin center.
It is noteworthy that the children who came to the holiday also had the opportunity to participate in the concert – Santa Claus and the Snow Maiden came up with various tasks. Children sang and danced with them.
Perhaps the biggest surprise for the little spectators was the performance of the finalists of the Ukrainian competitions “X-factor” and “Ukraine Got Talent,” who were explicitly invited to participate in the celebration. Daniel Ruvinsky, Dmitry Sysoev, Evgeny Shpachenko, Ivan Safarov, and Yulia Kuvshinova.
It should be noted that after the concert, all the children who came to the holiday received memorable gifts and were also able to taste dishes from the cuisine of national minorities and diasporas.
