The European Union said on Friday that Israeli forces had killed 10 Palestinians in the last 72 hours alone, which appears to be an “excessive use of lethal force,” calling for “investigating civilian casualties and ensuring accountability.”
In a tweet published by its office in occupied Jerusalem, the European Union expressed its “grave concern about the escalating level of violence in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem.”
He added that 2022 is the deadliest year since 2006.
European Union: “According to international law, lethal force must be strictly limited to situations with a serious and imminent threat to life. Civilian casualties must be investigated, and accountability ensured.”
