When war breaks out, children are the weakest link in it. Hostilities affect them; they fall into countless dangers and are deprived of the most beautiful childhood years. Hence, protecting children is a critical task, as they are, above all, the present and the future.
The International Congress Shield in Europe
The International Congress for the Protection of the Rights and Freedoms of Citizens “SHIELD” comes out with a profound condemnation of Iran’s participation in Russia’s brutal war against Ukraine, the supply of Iranian kamikaze drones, and combat uncrewed aerial vehicles.
Iranian intervention leads to the death of civilians, and the destruction of infrastructure, fueling the conflict and prolonging the aggression against Ukraine. This is a violation of international agreements.
President of the International Congress for the Protection of The International Congress Organization “SHIELD” Daher Saleh Muhamed took part in a regional round table for representatives of religious and belief communities, civil society, local authorities, the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, and international and national experts on freedom of religion or opinion on the topic “The Role of Dialogue in Improving the Security of Religious and Belief Communities.”

The event was attended by representatives of civil society, religious and belief communities, local/regional authorities, the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights and international and national experts, and others.
The round table covered such topics as What is dialogue and what are the forms of dialogue? What is the role and purpose of the dialogue? How can dialogue improve the security of religious and belief communities? What factors contribute to maintaining a long-term, open, inclusive, and transparent dialogue? Who should participate in the dialogue? (i.e., involvement of actors outside of formal religious organizations, new or small religious and belief communities, including individuals and groups with diverse religious or non-religious beliefs, and the active participation of women and youth). in conjunction with the NGO “South-Ukrainian Centre of Young Lawyers,” held a seminar for refugees and asylum seekers. The event was organized to educate refugees and asylum seekers living in Odesa, which came into force on the Law of Ukraine “On Refugees.” Attended by senior lawyer M. Kurochkin, lawyers and consultants Tkachenko O., Shklyaruk EA Zhdanova, LM South Ukrainian Centre of Young Lawyers, executive partner of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. As a guest, the head of the Committee on assistance in the fighting against corruption and shadow economy in the Odessa Region, Yuri Swede, also participated in discussions and answered questions from the audience. The meeting was valuable and fruitful for asylum seekers, lawyers, and organizers.
